FSMTB 2024 Election Results
The 19th annual meeting of the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB) was held October 3-5 in Washington, DC, with 40 member boards and agencies represented. Delegates elected five positions on the FSMTB Board of Directors and three positions on the 2025 Nominating Committee.
The following members were elected by the membership to serve a three-year term on the board of directors:
Chimere Figaire Correa, Chair of the Washington Board of Massage Therapy
Caroline Guerin, Presiding Officer of the Texas Massage Therapy Advisory Board
Robert Ruark, Executive Director of the Oregon Board of Massage Therapists
The following members were elected by the membership to serve a one-year term on the board of directors:
Paul Andrews, Chair of the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Massage Therapists
Nicole Davis, Board Member of the New Jersey Board of Massage Therapy and Bodywork
The following members were elected by acclamation to serve a one-year term on the 2024 Nominating Committee:
Foad Araiinejad, Alabama Board of Massage Therapy (former)
Charlene Russell, Mississippi, former FSMTB president
Jan Shaw, South Carolina Board of Massage Therapy
Officers were elected at the Board of Directors meeting following the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards. Caroline Guerin, Texas Massage Therapy Advisory Board, was elected to serve as president; Robert Ruark, Oregon Board of Massage Therapists, was elected to serve as vice president; and Elisabeth Barnard, Nevada State Board of Massage Therapy, was elected to serve as treasurer.
Sincere thanks are extended to Foad Araiinejad, Victoria Drago, and Craig Knowles who each completed a three-year term of service on the FSMTB Board of Directors.
